Colby pasted a smile on her face as Amy’s mother’s baby gift was revealed. The beautifully carved cradle came complete with a huge bow and a Winnie the Pooh blanket and mobile. Inside, she was dying. Amy looked from the cradle to her friend, unable to hide her own reaction. Colby gave a slight shake of her head.
What a masterfully written, heart-wrenching tale. We struggled for 6 years with infertility and failed adoptions before we had the 1st of our 4 children. While we haven’t ever lost a child to death, we’ve had plenty of experience trying to be joyful while at happy occasions for others while our hearts were breaking. Well done.
I could definitely relate. Well presented.
I felt Baby Shower Blues in my heart.
Excellent, I was right.there. Crying!
Wow, that one was heavy. I felt the last paragraph in the pit of my stomach. Powerful story, Dascha!
Warmth and caring I believe is the first true step toward healing. Beautiful story ❤

It is sad that one person's joy can be another's person's heartbreak. Life is cruel at times. Thankfully, each day is a new beginning.
