Really, they’d only had each other these last ten years since their father had died of the same cancer that was now taking Les from her.
I’m so sorry for your loss, but it’s true that sometimes a new pet can “fill the hole” that heartache has left. That’s how I feel about my dog Whiskey. Dave got her for me a while after my mom died, which was very hard on me.
