Sil was a good man, though set in his ways and stubborn by the time Olivia had married him. They’d wed later than was typical, she forty-three and he a year older. It was a first marriage for both. Olivia loved musical theater. Sil loved sports. Though she attended games with him periodically, he had steadfastly refused to give theater a chance. To keep peace in the house, she had long ago given up asking. She had consoled herself through the years with their shared love of old movies and had scratched her theater itch with her girlfriends.
Exciting to watch someone enjoy a new experience. I'm married to a Sil but he has stretched his wings a little over the years and has even enjoyed a few of our adventures. A side comment... I've decided to scratch my "bucket list" and instead I have a "once in this lifetime" list. My next adventure awaits!
Sounds about like the right amount of time for a man to give in! Cool idea for a story - especially with those 3 words! Thanks for the smile, Dascha. 😉

Yay for new discovery! It's way to easy to be a curmudgeon!
